Court Analyst 2001-2008

Kings and Richmond Counties- Matrimonial Part

Worked under the direction of the supervising Judge of the Matrimonial Term

 

  • Assisted matrimonial judges by working with families in divorce litigation in the resolution of parenting disputes; in both active divorce matters and post-judgment cases.

  • Screened cases and conducted psychosocial assessments of the parents and child(ren), including gathering collateral information from outside professionals and agencies.

  • Prepared written reports to the court, including recommendations on custody and visitation matters.

  • Liaison in child protective cases to develop safety plans and/or provide crisis management.

  • Case conferencing to assist parties and lawyers in the implementation of short or long-term parenting plans. Prepared for the court written custody and visitation stipulations.

  • Coordinated and facilitated the Parent Education and Custody Effectiveness (PEACE) program for the Richmond County Supreme Court.
